ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE REDUCES FERTILITY
Reading Time: < 1 minuteIl Resto del Carlino of 3.6.2021 reports on recent research by Prof. La Marca, where starting from endometrial cells in vitro it was possible to show that the liquid used in electronic cigarettes induces reduced expression of implantation proteins, which are necessary for the embryo to implant in the uterus, and also causes direct cellular damage to the endometrium. It is therefore conceivable that e-cigarettes as well as traditional cigarettes may lead to a reduction in a woman's fertility.
